review 1: Bought this book out of love. Fell in love with @MYSADCAT on Twitter, and instantly became a stalker for a feline called The Bear. I pretty much could relate to this book -- having a black cat is certainly different than owning cats of different hues. Some people say they bring bad luck. Well I say they brought unconditional love and affection to the house. And dead pests, of course.Nonetheless, black cats rock.
review 2: Once again, The Bear, Ralph, Shipley and Tom's Dad are absolute stars. A funny, poignant, and occasionally tear-threatening book. Loses it's way a little near the end, with the same gibberish concerning non-cat animals that took up a lot of Talk to the Tail, but luckily Tom's Dad, the return of a familiar face, and a discussion of The Bear's p

I enjoyed this book and easy to read but I am a cat owner so that's probably why I liked it.

Honestly I read these books as much for Tom Cox's Dad as for the cats.
