review 1: Interesting enough story written from the eyes of a son with a drug runner/dealer dad that seemed to only care about the next score. Periodically the dad would come in the picture, I think to ease his conscience but he was not a father he was more concerned about moving the next big load. Quite the life his dad led very big in the underworld but I thought small as a man. Didn't think it was well written or flow well, maybe because it was from a son's perspective and difficult to be just a writer.

... moreld of the Reagan era, it made me realize how much my views on drugs were shaped by the administration. In this book, the author points out that for most pot smokers it isn't a gateway drug, but then most of the characters in this book didn't limit themselves to that particular drug. less
