review 1: This heart melting love story begins with Tyler becoming a father to Julie. He enlists the help of his best friend Jake. This was a beautifully written story about how two gay men are taught by a six year old there is more to life. This is a light and fun read that is very entertaining. The story moves quickly but at the same time is very well developed. I though it was very funny with the interactions with Julie. This is a wonderful story. I highly recommend it!!
review 2: This was a weird book and I'm struggling how to rate it. I picked it up because I liked the premise of the unexpected kid showing up and becoming a dad. The execution of this was very oddly done. Julie's reactions to things were not what I expected from a 6 year old. She's introduced to a fa... morether she's never met and has no issues whatsoever being dropped off with a strange man. Then Tyler introduces Julie to her sister, another stranger, and Julie is willy-nilly; no temper tantrums or hissy fits or anything. I liked the relationship between Tyler and Jake but the telling us about their past sexual episodes together wasn't really hot. This is a relatively short book but it felt like forever to get through it. less
