review 1: I loved this book and read it in one sitting and now I'm onto book two. I loved the flawed and complex characters of Red (Mariss), Sebastian (Bassy) and Holden. This is one of those novels where the erotica enhances rather than interferes or distracts from the plot but is in fact central to the novel. Ms Kemp has done a stellar job integrating all these elements. I was fascinated and enthralled right to the end. I was also screaming in frustration, crying with joy and laughing too. The emotional involvement is unavoidable.
review 2: I really liked this book. I will not give away any spoilers. But, this book has lots of sex, romance, and third party fetish watching scenes, yep it's all in there. I'm not quite sure if Sebastian (Bassy) grew a heart or always had ... moreone. Sebastian is an alluring handsome sexy intelligent male super model (yeah I know I didn't use any commas--but really he's sexy and intelligent; you'll see what I mean when you read the book); and he owns a very successful adult fetish club (and in walks Mariss Red and her famous basketball player husband). Oh and Sebastian is a bit of a bad boy too. I thought he had put up with Hellena for far too long (I think she's a little psycho). I really liked Juliet working for Bassy, poor Rachel. I wonder how Mindy will work out? Bassy could have any woman he wanted, at any time he wanted; but he wants the one who happens to be off limits - Mariss Red (I think she's a little psycho too). How long can Mariss keep denying Bassy. How long will they continue to play this cat and mouse game. less
