review 1: 4.5 Solid StarsI truly loved this book. Maze and Ivy were the sweetest freaking couple, I mean I loved them both. They both had this enormous amount of love for each other, which was plain to see...gosh they were just adorable:) The only thing I wished was different was that we had a bit more on them and their back story...Weel, I mean they meet, then are apart for 5 years:( We did get a rundown on the crux of what went on in that 5 year span BUT I wish I had maybe gotten some glimpses of what each thought periodically, etc?? All I know is that I enjoyed it so much that I can't wait to dive into the next book, the sequel:) I am dying to see how their story ends up, which by the way, I hope it ends great for them as they both deserve a very happy ending!!!!!!... more!!!!!
review 2: I received this book for free for an honest review.This book was ok. Aside from some grammatical errors, that were annoying, it just didn't seem to hold my interest. The idea for the story is good, and I love fighters, so I was ready for a book I couldn't put down. But I found I was not at all emotional connected to these characters. There was not enough character development and it was hard to feel anything for these people. The initial connection when they met at the beach was not bad, it had a little teenage angst, but then it just fizzled from there. The drama was not that dramatic and not much really happens. She has one performance and he has one fight that is described in detail, although not that exciting. The rest was just blah. Maze has potential and I could see myself liking him, but there just wasn't any oomph! I didn't hate it, but there's nothing to recommend either. less
