review 1: ....as a female who struggles with weight, just like 99.9% of the women of the world we all can relate to Valerie and her weight issues...but at some points in this book I was like this chick needs some serious therapy! Then at other parts of the book I was really proud of her for succeeding in her diet challenges. Most everyone knows that there comes a point in your life when you just have to let go and have that breakin point when you stop caring or realize you have to get serious and the weight starts to slip away. Valerie obviously found that which is great. However...do I recommend this book to others, no! It was well written but there were some issues that the author went through that I personally did not care to read about. I understand why she wrote about the thing... mores she did but at some points it makes you be like she's got some serious issues...which she obviously did!
review 2: I enjoyed this book and found it very motivational. This book offers a fresh (at least to me) weight loss idea: non-dieting. I'm sold on both that and the steps to emotional recovery that Frankel took. I plan to try some right away. That being said, I don't know why I don't feel I can give it 4 or 5 stars. I genuinely enjoyed reading it and would recommend it to others with long-term weight issues. less

This book was interesting to hear another person's point of view going through weight struggles.
