review 1: This is an excellent informational fiction book. The story is about a boy who is in the garden with his grandma when an earthworm appears. The boy is grossed out, but the grandma explains all about why earthworms are good. She explains the anatomy of an earthworm and what they eat. Then she explains how they have a lot of enemies everywhere and we need to protect them. This book gives great facts about earthworms wrapped up in a cute little story. The illustrations are great and go excellent with the story and even though the illustrations are cartoons, it still has a very realistic vibe. It is a fantastic book full of fun facts that is superb to show to any grade schoolers.
review 2: Yucky Worms is a funny, yet informational story of a young boy in his grandma
... mores garden. The pictures helped the learning process by showing what the grandma was teaching the young boy about the worms as the story went on. The worms in the pictures talk to the audience throughout the story and try to convince the reader that worms are not so yucky! This book could be used as a supplemental teaching tool while learning about worms. less
