review 1: The first thing about this book that I noticed was the cover and that played a big part in why I wanted to read it. I was hooked on this book faster than I have been with any other book I've read before this. Slowly figuring out for myself what Mira's "curse" was before any of the characters and realizing what Freddie was doing and what was going to happen made me feel giddy with excitement! I worried for a few moments when I thought for sure Ben had died but by the end of this book I was so excited to read the next one I almost dove right into it! Until I realized that it is almost midnight and I'm supposed to be awake early tomorrow. I'm really hoping I'll have time to start reading the next book sometime tomorrow!! Oooh I am so excited!
review 2: 3.5 stars. ... moreI think this book is much better than I found it. Didn't read the first half consistently and consequently totally lost the plot at times. Having read the second half more rapidly (in an effort to be finished with this book once and for all) I found it to be a much better read than I gave it credit for. So, 2 stars for the first half (too confusing for me atm) and 4 stars for the second half. Certainly an original idea even if I did get confused. less
