review 1: This is a wonderful book about questioning. Aaron questions everything from how he lives? What is right and wrong? And the truth of the bible. It's an easy and refreshing read that brings you right into the protagonists life in a strict evangelical family. In all honesty I would have liked a little more about Aaron dealing with his sexuality, considering the title of the book, but I didn't really feel that I missed out. It is only really briefly touched upon but then sexuality is only a part of us so I think the author bore this in mind when writing. I would still fully recommend this book as it shows a lot about how others live. It's fun, funny, touching and can really make you think. I loved it!
review 2: This was a rather enjoyable read. He wrote of his bapt
... moreist roots very sweetly, without being too condemning. I very much enjoyed getting to know his friends and family and their developing relationships with him, and learning about the baptist brand Christianity. Knowing that the author is gay, I think the book possibly could be stronger if he went into that discovery and development more, considering his religious background. Maybe a sequel? less

I felt I was finally reading my own story. Easily one of the most compelling books I've ever read.

This book was poorly written. The writing was amateurish and immature. I struggled to finish.

An interesting look into a rather depressing childhood.
