Hello ho ho,
Today is the last day showcasing the Scandinavian Christmas inspired card series using the Cookie-Cutter Christmas Stamp Set.
Today I’m writing from Denmark. I’m here with with my fiancé and we will be celebrating Christmas tonight with my family, tomorrow we will be travelling home to UK – tell me about how difficult it is to get a flight in Christmas day! Boxing Day we celebrate with English family so the priority when we get home is getting the gammon boiled!
Christmas is always celebrated on Christmas Eve in Denmark. We will be picking up family and going to my sisters house late this afternoon. We will have pork roast with crackling at dinner followed by rice pudding. After a break we will be singing Danish Christmas carols while joining hands and dancing around the Christmas tree – Christmas tree is normally placed or pulled out in the centre of the room for this to work best! And then we have presents along with biscuits, cake and sweets – cause we need more food right?! How is your Christmas going to be?
For this card I used the inlay technique and used the lovely heart thinlits die to cut background and the heart stamped background. Then I used the negative heart stamped pieces to put in the holes on the white background. I used the heart border die from Birthday Blooms Stamp Set to make the festive background paper. I die cut a couple of extra ‘lovely’ word scripts. I just used scissors to cut them out and then glued them on top. I used stampin Blends to colour the Reindeer. I used a light Smoky Slate blend to make some shadows and I added some glaze on nose and eyes with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen – remember to leave it to dry for a couple of hours.
