review 1: A good comfortable Autumn read. A couple move from their life in the city to an old house in the country which needs work done on it. Jack & Amelia's relationship does struggle and I feel maybe people would warm far more to Amelia than Jack who continues to enjoy his city life. The story isn't just about them but also the history of the house in which Elenor use to live in and the things Amelia finds. Lovely book.
review 2: I've just finished reading Amelia Grey's Fireside Dream by Abby Clements. I enjoyed the book and found it really easy to read. It has a nice story to it, how a young couple buy a cottage in the country and renovate it. It tells of the problems that they encounter on the way, with the cottage and with their relationship. Like I say I enjoyed
... more it but felt that a lot of the plot line wan't developed as much as it could have been. It is quite a short book and it felt short too. I was at the end of the book almost before I knew it. A nice quick easy read though less
