review 1: It was a great young adult entertaining book. I like these types of books occasionally because they don't really challenge you and you can just enjoy it. It's a good distraction. What I hope comes from these types of books is that they become attractive to those that perhaps don't like books written by dead white men and that's okay. I hope this book broadens the book range of those that don't usually read. The intensity of some of the relationships in this book are incredibly immense and breath taking in the way it was written. The rest of the written material was not challenging (in a good way). It's no classic, but it provides entertainment. The plot surpasses imagery, but the way love was written surpasses both. Better than Twilight? Mhmm...They are along the same line... mores of work, genre and reading level; however, this book in some ways is better. It's nice to read of something other than vampires. This book introduces other mythical aspects. So it was creative in that way. And creativity sparks creativity in others. Well it does to me. =)
review 2: UPDATE: After some research on Abra Ebners website i've lost respect for her as well as her book. She has dedicated parts of her website to openly bashing Stephanie Meyer, her novels, and her creative process. From where I sit Stephanie is not the one who should be ashamed here. Just a thought.I'm normally a pretty open minded person, but the similarities between this book and Twilight are just too much for me. And I only read 1/5 of the book. I could not force myself to endure any more of this blatant plagiarism. How this was ever published I will never understand. less
