review 1: I really enjoyed this book. It was both funny and honest. I know not everyone will agree with Adam Carolla's opinions, but I agreed with most of what he discussed in the book. I also think the world has gotten soft and could toughen up a bit. It was a really entertaining book. I've been a fan of Adam Carolla since I started listening to Love Line in high school, and this book just made me an even bigger fan.
review 2: If you're going to do this book, definitely consider the audio version. Adam Carolla does it himself and he doesn't so much read as wax on about the material in the book. He adds some entertaining material on top of what's in the printed book because the audio version was done after the text version was already locked in.In general, take a look ... moreat all the 1-star reviews of this book. If the things they're saying are things that would bother you, this is not the book for you. The best part about it is that most of those reviews say that they made it about halfway (when Carolla starts in on his ranting) and it's only near the end that he talks about how sensitive our society is toward this kind of joking.If you can handle material, the book is funny if you don't take it too seriously. I particularly liked the stories he tells over the ranting but overall found most of it entertaining. less
