review 1: Here is India's answer to Bridget Jones- Aisha Bhatia! She's savvy, insecure, witty and heaps funny. These virtues make her very adorable, not to mention very identifiable by us urbane Indian chicas who blend Western modernist values with Indian cultural traditions, often confusing them and thus living in what can only be described as a blur. Kala has the 'kala'-(i.e. 'skill' in Hindi) in describing this blur which we face, along with the pressures of getting married and if married then keeping the marriage! This is definitely something for young adults as well as twenty-somethings and thirty-somethings. :)
review 2: Indian chick-lit at its most entertaining best! If you're looking for a breezy one-time read and want to see life from the perspective of a single,
... more independent, reasonably modern Indian woman, Almost Single is the book for you!! There were so many moments in the book I almost screamed that's so darn true!!!! Not a literary masterpiece or classic but a very relatable and effortlessly entertaining fun read! less

The narrative is a little disjointed, but it's a fun look at chick lit New Delhi style.
