review 1: This is book 2 in a superhero romance series. It's really good from the romance perspective, but the superhero part isn't as appealing to me. I do like the relationship twists this author takes - in both the first book and this one, I didn't see it coming.This one is Mindy's, aka Tekgrrl, story. She's been hung up on Luke since her teens, but he's never returned the feeling. Just as she decides to move on, she manifests new powers and she starts to hear a voice in her head. Then Simon (a troublemaker from book 1) causes a whole lot of mischief for the Elite Hand of Justice using his government contacts. We also get Mindy's intergalactic study abroad backstory and how she because such an exceptional genius.
review 2: I didn't quite enjoy this one as much as Phen... moreomenal Girl 5, but it was still a great book anyways. In Tekgrrl, it's the same universe as Phenomenal Girl 5 but takes place shortly afterwards. The main character here is Mindy or Tekgrrl as she's known in the Elite Hands of Justice. The Elite Hands of Justice is a famous group of superhero's who are charged with saving the world. Tekgrrl has harbored an one sided love for a fellow superhero in the group since she was a kid. However, events from her past cause her to rethink who she is and realize that perhaps her attentions would be better towards a different member of the group. With lots of action and superhero love triangles, it was lots of fun to read and I hope the series will continue. less
