This is the fourth book of The Food Lover’s Village, I found it an easy to read and a relaxing who-done-it. I had difficulty deciding on the rating as so much was occurring and the tale lacks the spark to hold my attention.
Flowing beneath a small town in Montana is Jewel River. The main industry is tourism. The town’s business stock Items that are found in Montana. To increase business, the town supports an annual Jazz Festival
Erin Murphy is the manager of the Murphy Mercantile and is busy getting ready to host the Jazz Festival Kick-off. The featured artist is Gerry Martin, a popular guitarist. At the Kick-off two of the backup artists, don’t follow the original program. The backup singer does her own song and a local guitarist does a solo. These actions anger Gerry and he leaves the Kick-off.
The next morning Gerry is found dead in the rocks on the river. Erin decided to explore problems concerning the Festival. She works with the local sheriff. Many things are changing in Erin’s life. She is training new clerk, her Mother is getting married and her boyfriend is leaving his job. She must adapt to handle them and find it hard. Recipes of dishes mention are included. I recommend this book.
