review 1: I read this a while ago, so some of the details are fuzzy, but I enjoyed it immensely. I like a good paranormal yarn with some romance thrown in, but it's difficult to find this type of a story written for adults. Much of what exists out there is either overly sappy or the same story done over and over again. This is a book for adults (steamy sex scenes, irresponsible behavior) and avoids the pitfalls of most stories of this type. The pacing is great - enough tension and mystery to keep me turning the pages, and a unique premise. There is something about the way this author writes that just GRABS me and won't let go.
review 2: I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The protagonist was a thirty-something woman who was easy to care about and the plot moved along n... moreicely. It had elements of mystery, suspense, fantasy, and romance. All of which are elements I enjoy. I also liked that it had a happy, hopeful ending. Since it was a free Kindle download, all it “cost” me was the time it took to read it. I feel it was well worth the time. less
