review 1: I downloaded this a year ago but just now got to reading it. I have to say I may post spoilers. It has a story line, with a damsel in distress. A vamp who normally walks away. I would have like to know more about the female lead and I am sure that is coming in book 2. This book was entertaining and has lots of hot sex!!! Now I do think this is most likely one of her first novels. Which makes it very special as you can see how she has grown into her writing style and that makes you want to read the rest of the book to see how else has she grown. Now, this book tied me up till I finished it (yes pun intended), kept me on the edge of my seat as Sabrina sobers up, makes hot sex, makes love and then comes to the choice to give up her life in another country for this vampire. Ms... more Michaels chooses words that jump to life in your mind, so if you can handle that then you should download this book!Its a very good read! So download today!
review 2: As I started this I thought, 'I'll just read a page or two to see if it's any good' ... well, I didn't want to stop reading so got comfy and settled in. By the time I got the end, I had two conflicting thoughts running around my head. One was that I had enjoyed the story and the characters... but the other was that this was more sex than anything else. The sex scenes were written quite well, even though I can't stand having intimate areas called "her sex" and certainly not several times. I felt this was more of a Sex Story with a vampire as a character, than it was a Vampire story with romance and erotica. Now don't get me wrong folks, I like a bit of sexy stuff in a story, and if I know it's erotica then I know what to expect... it's just that this was so much in such a short space of time (of pages). Some of the sex scenes were written very well, thoughtful and thought-provoking descriptions, but sadly there were moments where the sex was sounding a bit repeated and Sabrina probably felt that way too. All in all, if you like erotica, and vampires - this is a good choice, but I'll be interested to see how the full length novels develop ... if the sex is as frequent, Sabrina will need to see a GP. Perhaps more erotic and more story, and a little less sex. less
