review 1: Great storyline, loveable guys, with added intrigue and danger. The only downside to this for me personally, was how Peri went from a strong, independent woman, taking down the bad-guys, wary of strangers and basically self-sufficient -- even if she wasn't getting by very well -- to a soppy, love-struck, hormone-riddled girl. But then again, if I'd just found love for the first time in my life, I think I'd be a bit all over the place, too.This is a series, so I will be anxiously awaiting Peri's further development. I will definitely be getting the second book, and look forward to learning more about their world and their woes. Can't wait to find out Josef's depth of power, and Peri's untapped strengths. Between the pair of them, methinks Gabe is going to have to start... more pulling his weight!
review 2: ***Won this book in a contest*** For the 17+ crowd. I really liked this book. I loved the main characters. Peri kicked butt and Gabe and Joseph were pretty awesome too. The only part I had a little trouble with was at the very beginning when we first meet Gabe and Joseph I didn't think it flowed as smoothly as it could have. The story itself though, was really great. I can’t wait to find out what happens next. I may have won the first book in the series, but I went out and bought the rest of them fairly quickly. I can’t wait to see what happens next. less
