review 1: Woow... mijn favo writers-lijstje wordt steeds langer; Alaska is er aan toegevoegd! Dit boek ging over Slade & Mary. Een goéd en boeiend verhaal; hot en spannend en... dark. Slade gijzelt Mary om haar criminele family (drugs, wapens, vrouwenhandel) te overtuigen zijn als slaaf verkochte zus terug te brengen bij hem. Je snapt het al: de vonk slaat over tussen Slade (master... duh!) en Mary (sado slave). Heerlijk genre.
review 2: For me, Slade isn’t necessarily like all the dark and captive books I have read. First off, Mary was treated more like a Princess than a captive and Slade was the nicest captor I’ve read. There are reasons for that and if you read Slade, you will see them unfold. The plot was really good to me and I liked the way the story started a... morend developed. The sex scenes were very good and descript, but be warned there is much anal play and some blood play in this story….if you aren’t into that, then don’t pick up this book. less
