review 1: Well, I like me some erotica, but it has to be good. This is not good. In fact its poorly written with unlikable characters, hilariously bad dialogue, and a very creepy plot. I mean, I guess I should have known what I was getting into when I read a "Daddy" book, but I still didn't expect the 18 year old female character to not know what an erection or sex is. She acts about 5 years old or like she has a developmental disability or something. And the Daddy in question just comes across as a pedo since he kidnaps the girl (after some other guy drugs her and tries to rape her) then proceeds to tie her up and ejaculate on her while she is knocked out. What the hell?? Not sexy at all to me.
review 2: 3 Sad StarBased on the synopsis and cover and title of this book,
... moreI had high hopes. I was let down. :( Haley has just turned 18. Her mother passed many years in the past, leaving her dad and William to take care of her. Her dad is pushing her to grow up when she doesn't feel ready and that upsets her... even losing her pink walls. William is at her party to make sure she doesn't get in trouble and because he's a family friend, I suppose. She gets roofied and he 'saves' her from the only guy she's kissed so she doesn't get 'taken advantage of' but he ties her up, blindfolds her and masturbates on her chest and leaves her to wake up with his seed on her chest. While I don't normally have issues with the daddy-play like this book had, I did have issues with the way her thinking was portrayed. She thought like a much, MUCH younger woman at times. Like a ten year old. She didn't know what an erection was, she didn't know what an orgasm or a clit was... while I understand she went to an all girls school and lived a 'sheltered' life, I still find that hard to believe. She didn't emotionally act or thinking like someone of her age would and that bothered me. Not to mention the fact that this man had basically raised her with her father and been there as a father figure then suddenly both wanted to be more was quite awkward. It wasn't until 70% that I felt like it was actually two consenting adults doing what adults might do or say (like standing up to their father and lover). I think some of the naughty scenes had some promise to them, but I was so distracted from the fact that he really didn't seem to care that it was her first time doing such things because his 'needs' were so strong, really made me not care for them. It boarded rape to me and that bothered me. Overall though, the writing style was great. I think the characters just needed development and growth that wasn't there to make the story go from 'meh' to 'great' for me. less
