review 1: I stumbled upon this little gem while looking for something else online of an entirely different nature. It reminded me of my critical thinking related lessons in my initial class at University of Phoenix. Being able to search for and understand the amount of logic, or lack thereof, in an argument is a true life shaping skill. I love this book. Not only does it detail many of the flaws found in logic that spill over into casual conversation, and in the professional world, but it gives highly entertaining and gorgeous visual examples of the flaws. I think a couple of my favorite illustrations were the "Slippery Slope" and "Bandwagon" arguments. Not only will you get a good chuckle at the way the creatures obviously take their side of the argument way too seriously, but I th... moreink you'll learn about the various ways we are not only deceived but may also deceive ourselves with fuzzy thinking.
review 2: Because it's free and short to read online, I just did so. Nifty reminder of what most of us have, I hope, learned, though maybe not to this level of detail, by age 17. I'm sure we can find much better books & websites to help people construct good arguments, but this was charming enough, especially given the illustrations that hit my sweet spot, to round up from 2.5 to 3 stars. I do recommend it. less

Illustrations were visually interesting but didn't seem to communicate the content very well.

I must have and must read for everyone. They need to teach this in school again.
