review 1: While fairly well-written, I did not find Catherine a sympathetic character at all, and was irritated by being in her head. I was frequently appalled by both the stupidity and the immorality of her actions. Apparently, this is a fairly accurate depiction of her character, but that doesn't do much to redeem the reading experience. As much as I enjoy reading about Tudor England, I'd rather be in the head of a different one of Henry's ill-fated brides.
