review 1: A pug's tale is a great mystery book that is jam packed with suspense. A pug's tale is the kind of a mystery book that always keeps you guessing. This book is a well-written book that has a little bit of everything-it has romance, mystery, and even a little humor. This is also the kind of book you would want to have a dictionary or thesaurus for sure because of the more higher level vocabulary. This is definitely a book I would recommend to any dog person who likes a good mystery.
review 2: Light, slight storyline involving a stolen painting. The protagonist (first person) has little beyond a pug and dreams to lead her to the solution. Solving mysteries by dream is, in my opinion, being lazy. There is some charm to the writing, although it often feels like padd
... moreing and repetitive padding at that. There is little build up, no page turning "oh my god, what happens next?" sort of rush to the solution. I like pugs, but this one can't carry a book and shouldn't have to. less

Mystery, intrigue, and a pug! Couldn't get any better. Really good story with a great ending!

A thoroughly enjoyable read. I love that the pug gets to share in the hero role.

Not bad for a rainy weekend.
