review 1: I adore Alison Sweeney on "Days of Our Lives" and was eager to read her novel - and it didn't disappoint. The book was well written, funny and touching and concluded in a great and satisfying way. I was very pleased with the book as a whole - it was a bit too "perfect" for real life, but everything you could want for a cute, romantic story. I really enjoyed the conclusion - it wasn't as I expected it might be, so I was really glad for that!
review 2: I read this book right after I read lauren Graham's novel and maybe that isn't fair to Allison Sweeney but it didn't compare at all. It almost seemed like a chore just to finish reading it. It seemed like she tried for this book to be several different things and I don't think it succeeded on any of those levels... more. This seems like a book that had been outlined and sloppily put together just to get a book out with her name on it. Unless another book of hers had a very good and creative premise, I wouldn't read another of hers again. less
