review 1: This book is made of multiple true stories of Jewish kids my age and younger who have survived the holocaust by running away from the Nazis and fighting them in several fights. In this book each chapter was about a different person, and very short, so every chapter jumped right in the the action which made the book a lot more exciting. At the end of every chapter the author told the reader what happens to the person after the war, where they currently live, and what book to read or show to watch to find out more information about the person you read about in this book.
review 2: I've been reading this book for a while, and actually got around to finishing it. It wasn't what I was expecting, but that might be because I didn't read the title correctly. The Holocau
... morest is specifically the genocide of Jews, and I know that. However I just thought it was teen resisters of World War Two, and then was a little surprised when all the stories had a Jewish focus. I actually read the title this time, and quickly understood why. They stories had just as much merit as any other resistance story, and they really were amazing. I didn't get the feel that those stories were included just because they were Jewish, if one had a larger book of resistance stories those would be in there too. It's really admirable the courage and what people did to resist what was going on in Europe at the time. less
