review 1: Battle Heroes: Voices From Afghanistan is a book that contains ten true stories from veterans that fought in Afghan. When I picked up this book, I knew it was going to be a fun read all the way through. By that I mean this book was written for the fun of reading, so its not perfect. Most of the ten stories I read in this novel were amazing and captured the action directly from the soldier's eyes. Unfortunately, not all the stories were as amazing as I thought they would be. Some stories lacked detail, back story, and were just too dull to be interested in. Although the rest of the stories were really memorable and far better. Such as one tale in which a sergeant's base is hit with friendly fire from an AC-130 gunship because some careless soldier gave the wrong coordinates... more. Or another tale where a corporal is shot in the face and survives. Overall, I would recommend this book to any war fanatic but be warned; some of the tales may not be as mind-blowing as you think they would be.
review 2: Do you love action, adventure, or thrillers? Well if you answered yes this is the book for you. Battle Heroes Voices from Afghanistan/ War Heroes Voices from Iraq talks about heart pumping moments of war in Afghanistan and Iraq. It is written by Allan Zullo who this time out did him self. You can read about lieutenant from captains, mostly every rank. This is a not put down book, once you get started I guarantee you won’t put it down. It will tell you what it’s like in war, like when you loose a friend in It and how hard it is to recover. Discover what it’s like to be in a war.I liked this book because it made me feel like i was there. The author gives very descriptive details, also it says what happens play by play. My favorite part is when the author says what the hero gets medal wise or if they get ranked up.What i don't like about it is how it goes to different chps instead of staying on one person. There's not much bad things to say about this book, it's good and fun to read. I would give this book a 5 out of 5 for action, adventure, and thrillers. less
