review 1: I've been waiting for this sequel for quite a while. The first book was free through Kindle so I thought if I don't like it will be okay. I couldn't put it down. Somewhat Twilight like...about the current day supernatural and how they survive in our world. I know, not really something I usually go for but I was so amused and enthralled that I almost read the book beginning to end without a break. So on to the sequel and it had the same feel. Same epic-like story, same characters. I really like the main character and there's still so much for her to discover. I'm looking forward to the next book.
review 2: Holy cow! Amanda Havard has done it again, and this time Book 2 is better than the first!! I love these characters (especially Everett!!), and am in a
... more need-to-know more frenzy now. The Survivors: Point of Origin is smart writing that takes you on a journey filled with unexpected twists and turns. I went into it with about a million theories of where I thought the story was headed. I ended up being wrong about most of them! Amanda Havard takes you through history and mythology and the supernatural all in one book and it is fascinating. Kallie said it best when she said this book is astounding. I had to take a few days to just get my thoughts together (and they’re still sketchy at best!) because I was completely floored by so much. I forgot to mention the character, Raven, in the video, but I have to mention him here. As much as I hate this character, I am also secretly in love with him. Havard captured his essence to a T, and I want to know so much more about him. I don’t necessarily want to be up close to him, but I do want to know MORE! And Lizzie plays a huge role in this book too. That woman has some major secrets, and I want to know every single one of them. You will get some answers from Book 1 questions that you had, but don’t think for a second that you will be able to relax. About a billion more questions pop up throughout this sophomore book. You will be screaming for Book 3 just like I am! We will have to wait together though…and I have a strong feeling that it will be worth the wait. Point of Origin hits shelves in June of this year so you have just enough time to go snatch up Book 1, The Survivors, and read it before Book 2. You will be impressed with Havard’s character development, ability to intertwine history and present day, and the twists and turns the plot takes. Havard takes you on a journey and catapults you into a place and time you want to be a part of. This book gets 5 out of 5 books from me! less
