review 1: I received this as part of a Goodreads group Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy Fanatics: Read to Review giveaway. I really enjoyed this book. At first I was a little put off by the beginning, it just seemed like it was going to be an 'oh poor me' type of book, but as I got deeper into the story I couldn't put it down, and quickly realized it wasn't one of those books. For the most part I really liked all of the characters and I thought they all worked well together (although the bit with Dan being an idiot made me a bit angry), the plot was refreshingly different and the entire story flowed well. I really hope there are many more to come for this series. Amanda Leigh Cowley is a great author and this book should definitely be picked up!
review 2: I recieved... more this book for review but that has in no way effected my opinion.I loved this story! It's very original and I couldn't put it down once I started.I really loved the "soul protector" concept. It was quite refreshing to read something that was really different. Gracie and Dan are both strong characters and I loved reading their story. There is a twist in the plot that I was just not expecting, and it made it all the better. I would definately recomend this title. I will be looking for more of this author's work as it is quite enjoyable. less
