review 1: This one was a little odd. Starts out looking like a pretty standard contemporary. Deck is a closeted gay man in the middle of qualifying as a Navy SEAL. Mason is an artist in need of a model for a commission. And then half way in it takes a sharp left turn into the paranormal.I enjoy a good paranormal romance, but I want to know that's what it is from the start. The paranormal element didn't really add anything to the story, and I wish it had been left as a standard contemporary romance.
review 2: This wasn’t quite what I was expecting. I always seem to enjoy books where one of the MCs is a military man, so the blurb caught my eye and there was some good chemistry between Deck and Mason. However, the story didn’t flow smoothly (which may have been a
... more symptom of its short length), and the whole paranormal implication completely threw me for a loop (probably detracting more than adding to the story). A little bit quirky may be the best way to summarize this one for me. less

This was an interesting story but the ending felt a bit abrupt.
