review 1: While I like this series, it seems that the author has no clue which direction she is going with the story. She continues to add in characters and yet another love interest in order to hide the fact that there is a lack of direction. It seems like a lot of smoke and mirrors when it is not needed. Additionally, the author has DRAINED the Brennus story line. It has been milked dry, but Amy refuses to let him go as she will release a fifth book from his POV. Amy, Can you wrap up the series before you turn your readers against your main female character, Evie?
review 2: I knew it would happen. It has been 24 hours now since I finished Incendiary and I am having major character withdrawals. I want Evie, Reed, Russell, Zee, Buns, Brownie and now Anya too! I'll even t
... moreake Brennus. I can do without Xavier though. Tau is interesting to say the least. When I began this series I thought there were only 4 books total. I was excited that I could finish the series and not have to wait for another book. I didn't find out there will be a fifth book until I was on book 3. It didn't really matter to me though, I was sucked into Ms. Bartol's world. And I wouldn't want to be any other place right now. SpoilersDon't read anymore if you don't want to know. So much happened in book 4 and quite a few new characters were introduced in this book. First Anya. Butterflies. Oh my. I loved this new development. Perfect. And her Karma power. Awesome. Secondly Tau. I actually like him and dislike him. I liked that he really wanted to be in Evies life and I liked that he had a part in containing Evie from saving Reed. It makes it easy to root against him. And Xavier. What can I say? I dislike him. But, I dislike anyone who gets in Reed and Evie's way. Xavier is so cocky too. Thank you Ms. Bartol for making him unlikeable. It makes it easy to root against him. More Brennus. He was excellent in this book. Like he has been the whole series. He's back to being evil. I was hoping for that turn. I'm excited to read more of him in book 5. But, I warn you Ms. Bartol, it better be Reed in the end. Nobody but Reed. All-in-all, this is an excellent series and a must-read for any paranormal, fantasy book lover. For my sake, I hope book 5 comes out soon. I know I read 2015 somewhere. I hope it's Jan. 1st. less
