review 1: Hooray, a sequel! I love the idea of song-spells. It’s something I never had heard of before reading these books. So when Lucy struggled with that, I was worried, curious and disappointed. I liked the fact that I never knew who to trust and when everything was revealed, I couldn’t stop reading. If you need a different kind of fantasy story, this is for you - just make sure you read the books in order!
review 2: My actual rating is 4.5. In Chantress Alchemy, things where difficult for Lucy since everyone in the palace wants her to use her own magic to defend them, but she disagrees with them and they think she's not trying to help they find the crucible or that she doesn't want to help them find the stealer. The real reason that Lucy didn't want to use her
... moreown powers was that her powers are weak and she knows it's a real trouble if she uses her powers and so she has to agree to help them. The ending where it was located at the King's birthday was a sad ending because Norrie told Lucy that Nat wanted to meet her (Lucy wanted to meet Nat so she decided to go to the party) so when Lucy saw Nat leaving she went after him. She wanted to be with him but he keeps on declining and I was starting to hate him a little but then when Nat said he doesn't want them to think that Lucy's power is the only thing that has helped them and so I was starting to understand what he's saying. I kinda forgive Nat for declining Lucy. Nat left Lucy and I felt like crying since things where complicated for both of them. less
