review 1: As tired as I am of vampires in all shapes & forms, this story pulled me in. Then I found out there are several more 'series' to the story. Argh! There was a cliff hanger ending, so sooner or later I will read the rest. I only gave it 3 stars, as it has the same issue that seems to be in every vampire book- the female character just accepts a certain condition for her relationship w/said vampire that she would not put up with from any *normal* guy.
review 2: Each book as an individual story was well written, entertaining and a real page turner towards the end. However, I thought I had missed the final book of the series when I finished Book 8. Unfortunatly, that was not the case. "series 2", which should be called season 2 won't be out until later this year. Th... moreis is nothing but a written soap opera and as such there is never an ending. The most important story lines were left dangling at the end of book 8. I hate soap operas and wish I hadn't wasted my time reading this one. While I would like to know what happens to Sophie and the baby, I'm not going to read the next season only to risk being left hanging again. less
