review 1: As I've said before, serials are not my thing. That said I'm drooling waiting for part two. This is a triangle promising to become a menage. Daniella just found out that she's a were. She also just found out her hot neighbor Owen is too. He's been protecting her for his best friend and prime Erik. Things don't go exactly as planned, and the fur starts to fly. This looks to be a really fun ride, despite being too short and ending very abruptly. I can't wait! I recieved a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.
review 2: I knew that this was only part of the story going in and, although I don't like this latest trend, I was aware so I can't say I wasn't.However, there was too much unexplained in this for me to give it more than a 3-star rating. ... moreThe first line of the synopsis states that Daniella Clark has never fit in... why? This is confirmed by Daniella herself, but we never find out the reason WHY she felt like she never fitted in.Owen is her friend, then breaks it off, helps her when she 'needs' it but still says no and then during one conversation, he says yes. He reminded me of the "no, no, no, no, yes" character from the Vicar of Dibley! Saying this though, I did like Owen. He is an alpha male which includes being hot, tender, protective and caring as well as being hell between the sheets.Erick comes across as a d**k although I'm sure he may have some redeeming qualities and show them in later entries.On the whole, I enjoyed this snippet but found it all rather rushed, something too often found in novellas or 'parts' of story. I don't like the latest trend even though I try to give each 'book' a fair go. I'm sure this story would be best if you bought all of them at the same time and read as one book, but I for one won't be going any further with this story. less
