review 1: This book was so terrible I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. The author was trying way too hard to write in a "different" writing style. The book goes back and forth between characters and time periods, however it was never clear who was speaking or what time period the chapter was in. The story lines were all very confusing and under developed, and not one of the characters was particularly likeable. I found myself skimming the last 25% of the book because I just couldn't take it anymore. If you do decide to read this don't say I didn't warn you!!
review 2: It's poetic, dark and disturbing. The writing style is unusual but I kind of liked it. It's one of those books that I'm really not sure what I feel about. I wouldn't be comfortable recommending it becau... morese it's not a happy, fun book and it's not traditionally written, it was shocking, dirty and raw in places. I think it's one of those books most people either love or hate and while I didn't like any of the characters in the story, I was very intrigued by the writing style. I am giving it 3 stars for now but that may change the more I think about it. less
