review 1: Good premise, horrible execution. As cliche as the M/M genre is, this one takes the cake and I was kinda offended by how the relationship came about. Christian's brothers were serious assholes, too. Large's writing style hasn't improved nor has a proper editor been found as once again tense, POV and just so many SPaG errors tossed me out time and again. For what it's worth however, I had to see the end of this series. I kinda want to go back and read the middle two books, but not without some heavy editing first.
review 2: No rating. I haven't read the previous three book in this series and I think that majorly hampered my ability to rate it fairly. Although this can be read as a stand alone, you miss out on the relationship building that has already happened
... morebetween Christian and Shea. As a result, things seem very sudden and Shea's quick 'ok, I'll try to be gay for you' response seems to come out of left field and was completely ludicrous. There were several other things that just felt like too big of a coincidence to feel real. It was still an entertaining read though. less
