review 1: I like demon stories and this one had a few clever and witty lines but as far as any kind of romance or emotions go, it was a bust.Ben missed his soul corrupting deadline and the big boss of Hell has given him a deadline, which isn't really fair, since he is the demon of laziness, it's not his fault he never gets anything done! So, off to earth to quickly corrupt a soul, unfortunately he also didn't get the memo that gay sex was no longer a soul corrupting offense, even if it was very enjoyable! Like I said, cute, but not to be considered any kind of love story IMO!
review 2: This one was...okay. The only thing that saved it from being a 2-star read (rather than the 3-stars I gave it) was the witty writing, humour, and the twist at the end (even though I had a
... morelready guessed what was coming). What I found really disappointing was the lack of emotion/connection between the two MCs. Just a horny boy looking for someone to give him his first f*ck, and a demon who was happy to oblige because it was his job. It was pretty much just lust between the two of them, and nothing deeper. And the sex just wasn't as hot as it could have been because of this. The ending was also a bit abrupt and kinda leaves you hanging, and thinking, "Ummm...that's it?" Although, maybe the author has plans for a sequel?Anyway, this was the first story I've read by this author, but it won't be my last. I'd really like to try something else from her because I did like the originality of this one, and the writing style. less
