review 1: To put this review into proper context I need to state that my personal ideologies are without a doubt more conservative than liberal. In saying this one would think that I would love this book, but I did not, in fact I despised this book.If people were to base their views of conservatives on this book then they would end up thinking that all conservatives are extremists and highly creative in their ability to twist things to suit their views.There are a lot of truths in this book about the negative side of the liberalism. Sadly, the delivery of those truths is overshadowed by the vitriolic attitude of the author. Anyone who is well read also knows that many of the evils which the author attributes to democrats and liberals are not as cut and dry as she makes them out t... moreo be.Learning about the conservative mindset is a good thing, doing it with this book is not.
review 2: So interesting! This book shows how the mobs of history have changed things for the worse. From the French Revolution to the anarchists on campuses of the 60's we learn how mobs cause people to do things they wouldn't even think of alone. We see it now all the time. Like after a winning or losing a big football or soccer game, a crowd will riot and cause great destruction. How can we stop this? We must stand up against mob thinking! less
