review 1: Are you feeling in the mood for a bit of erotic spice to your evening ? Wanting a short novelette at 37 pages ? Bound For Pleasure will take you on a very and I do mean VERY steamy sex ride as you turn each page. This novelette does include BDSM and is filled with Dom/Sub roles. The story takes place in a hotel room with football player Tycen who lost his wife years ago and now has been wanting to get in touch with his BDSM side again. His friend recommends the 1NightStand Agency and we meet Lara , who lost her fiance in the Marines. We see the two of them perform , each playing their roles but if they're not careful their lives could come under scrutiny as a stalking paparazzi leers near. review 2: It's been a while since I've done a review request. I honestly don't like doing them, I get something similar to performance anxiety. The author wants you to love their book and most of the time I buckle under the pressure and find myself not enjoying it simply because I want myself to like it.....yes I do have mental issues but please don't judge me on it :)Anyway, I received an email from Ann Mayburn, I read the synopsis and thought Bound by Pleasure might be a fresh change from what I have read lately and might very well be a great read and guess what.....it was.The story in general is very small, I mean, teeny, tiny small. But it was great for a quickie. It was short in length but a whole lotta BIG in the hotness category. I enjoyed Tycen, he played his submissive role well and although I'm not usually into male subs, he was still big and domineering enough to satisfy my tough he-man tastes. Lara was also a character I enjoyed. She was a good dom who liked a bit of kink.My only disappointment is that I wanted more, more, more. I'm not sure if the story was written on a word limit but I really wanted more closure in the end of the story. I wanted to know what happened next, if Tycen and Lara lived out their happily ever after, instead of getting a little bite into the start of their relationship.This short story is a great way to get a feel for the author. Ann Mayburn is a great writer, her voice is strong and smooth and Bound by Pleasure has definitely encouraged me to read more from this author. less
