review 1: This is the best book by Ann Tatlock that I have read so far! Seth comes back from war severely injured. Jane is engaged to him but now he is sending her away. Does she walk away as he wishes or stand by her man? I found myself looking inside to reflect on what my own reaction might be. There are also the themes of what a small world, what we believe are unanswerable prayers, and how everything works together for God's perfect will.

Tatlock weaves a story of beauty that delves into the heart. This timeless story will appeal to readers who enjoy well written prose that illuminate unexpected... more circumstances in life. I wanted to read the book in one sitting, but couldn't, until I was about 3/4 of the way through. Then I had to stop everything and soak in the southern surroundings along with the satisfying ending. I've been to Traveler's Rest and Asheville, NC. Thank you Ann for taking me back to a beautiful place. less
