review 1: A Rip in the Veil by Anna BelfrageI started reading A Rip in the Veil without much knowledge about the book. Once I started I realized that Alex, one of the main characters slips through time to an earlier time in Scottish history. At this point I wondered if I was going to continue on with the book. I am not a fan of time slip books..........they usually leave me wondering just where they are flipping back and forth in time. But I don't usually give up on a book.......so I pushed on.....and WOW am I ever glad I did. Anna Belfrage knows how to write........her characters Alex, Matthew, John, Magnus, Diego, and Hector all make this a wonderful book. Some you like, others you hate...........all in all you can't wait for the next page.I look forward now to all the other ... morebooks in this series with much excitement.
review 2: I enjoyed this story immensely! Alex and Matthew are a match made in heaven, even if heaven is hundreds of years apart. Being a modern woman, I'm surprised Alex made the transition to the past so easily. It makes me ponder if I could do the same. I doubt it. I won't go into specifics, as I'm sure other reviewers will take care of that, but if you'd like a well-written story with rich characters and an unusual and unique story line, this is the book for you. I can't wait to start the sequel and find out what happens to the pair next. less

Sounds like a rip-off of outlander... But I might give it a try...
