review 1: Pan's Revenge wasn't quite what I thought it was going to be.I expected this battle between Hook and Pan over Angel to be a bit more involved. The way the description made it sound, I expected Angel to be caught in a love triangle between the two more than she really was. I liked that Peter was having to deal with growing up so suddenly as he was. I feel that if Peter Pan was placed in such a situation he would react as he did in this book, but perhaps a bit less violent. While I liked the idea of what was happening to Peter, the rest of the book was either unnecessary or sped up to super speed. Angel lost her memory of Neverland in the last book, we go into this book with her having no memory of her time there which could have lead to a lot of time with Hook trying to bri... moreng back her memory or winning her love a second time. Instead we have her memory coming back almost instantly once she returns to Neverland. I felt like it was a cop out by the author to get the story to the climax between Hook and Pan faster. I also felt like the plan Peter had set up for revenge never really took off. It really felt like a whole bunch of bad situations all coming together at the right time to make all these bad problems designed to keep Hook and Angel apart from each other. The plan Peter had barely got off the ground before Angel got her memory back and then his plan was worthless. Overall, I liked the story and the ending. I'm glad that this one did not end on a cliffhanger liked the previous book did, but it did have it's flaws.
review 2: It all started with a fall and an apple! From there we witnessed Angel's amazing adventure in Neverland with Peter Pan & Hook. Only in the end Hook aka Jamie watches as his love falls back to her world leaving him alone. And that was it, no more! We had to wait months till the next book came out! In Pans Revenge we get to know all three characters better. We see how much Peter struggles with his new body and situation. We also see Jamie struggling with the chance he may never see Angel again and lose her to Peter. Then finally we see how much confusion Angel is in, due to Peters lies and her own memory being lost to her. Over the course of each of them trying to reach their HEA's, we get to know each of them and there friends! Peter, I feel so bad for him. He was so confused then he was trying to cope with all the changes being done to him not only physically but also mentally! He didn't understand why his emotions where going in 10 different directions, but he tried to cope. Only he lost himself along the way, and pushed everyone else away! Jamie and Angel, what can I say their story is one you just know is meant to be! No ifs , ands or buts about it! I was happy that they both got their HEA in the end, they deserved one! In the end I am hoping one day there is a 3rd book , even its just a little short one! Mainly to see if Peter ever gets a somewhat of his own HEA. But also I'm curious as to who it is that ends up taking Jamie's place in Neverland! Till next time - Sweets Books less
