review 1: I gave this 4 stars because I am still not sure how I feel about the book. I love books from the male's pov and enjoyed this book as that. However, I was very taken aback and uncomfortable with the amount of pain and tears this story had. This is the first book I've read that encompassed TPE, 24/7 slave, and massive amounts of sado-masochism. I am unsure of how someone can derive pleasure from such an amount of pain, so I was cringing and begging Mephisto to stop or to come to some realization as to what he was doing. However, it was revealed that Molly thoroughly enjoys the punishments at the hands of someone that enjoys giving them. The story was very well written, gave much insight into the dark world of bdsm and sucked me in from the beginning. I read it in four hours ... morebecause I had to find out her fate and know what was happening between them.
review 2: I really liked it. I have to admit I hadn't read the first book & picked this one up as a freebie but am definitely interested in reading Book 1 & 2.Mephisto is hot. Totally alpha in every sense. I really enjoyed the way he was written (I am a fan of reading the males POV). His affection for Molly really drew me in & I'm looking forward to seeing where that goes.I was really intrigued by Molly (which I'm sure reading Book 1 will clear up) & her relationship/marriage to her master.Really well written. I'll definitely read more from Annabel Joseph less
