review 1: Hard to write this review eloquently as my brain is short-circuiting. It's due in equal parts to the delicious dialogue and the fabulous sexual dynamic between Liam and, possibly, my favourite twins, Mark and Johnny.Entertaining the Delaneys takes over from The Delaneys And Me beautifully. The lads 'relationship' is developing interestingly and it's very, very intriguing and hot.I could go on but I won't, it's all been said by others, and it is a short read after all. I just want to say if you like menage, BDSM, Master-slave components to a book, as well as exhibitionism and voyeurism, then jump on board because it's all here. And it's so darn witty as well. When Liam is asked by Mark whether he could entertain Mark, Johnny and a business associate Liam replied - "Well, I ... morewas no Jude Law but I could probably out-drama-queen Graham Norton on a good day." Along with Liam trying to appease Mark after a unsolicited comment that feulled Marks...tempermental side, Liam pointed out quickly - "I mean look at you: you're seriously hot. And you're twins, too. God it's like gay heaven." Thank you Liam, I couldn't have said it better.5 stars here because it appealed to my intelligence (it is there), sense of humour, sexual likes and my growing bond with the characters. On to the next in my Delaney-a-thon.
review 2: Entertaining the Delaneys is the sequel to The Delaney’s and Me. Like the first short story, this one is a sex scene that seeks to delve slightly deeper into the characters and their complicated relationship. More kinks come to the surface and more depth to the various men in what promises to be a series of short stories. I’m not sure I like or even appreciate the characters in such short, stunted vinaigrettes versus a longer, more fleshed out story but the individual scenes are smoking hot and easy to read so fans won’t be disappointed. The scene picks up a short time after the first story’s sex ends. Liam’s been longing for the Delaney twins so he jumps (literally) when they call him again. The short story is an extended sex scene where several kinks come into play. There is voyeurism, ménage, a bit of kink with some pain and a hint of BDSM to come. Liam stands up for his desires and surprisingly the twins start to emerge as separate entities. The sex is hot – as per usual of Brooke – and whether readers enjoy this will largely depend on what fantasies and kinks work for people. Liam is the narrator and he’s alternatively amusing and slightly frustrating. He doesn’t hesitate to do whatever the Delaney’s want him to do. Sometimes I wanted to slap him and pray he has some self preservation so it’s really nice to see Liam stand up for himself and his desires later on in the story. The twins are starting to become distinguishable and I like their interaction together and each with Liam. This is definitely a ménage in the making with Liam as their mutual sub. The writing is very good for such a short, hot scene and it’s a lot of fun to read. The various desires are presented in such a way they shouldn’t turn readers off but if these aren’t your particular hot buttons the series and this particular short story may not work so well for you. If on the other hand you like kinky, light BDSM with a lot of partners, then pick this up and fully indulge. less
