review 1: Maybe closer to 3.5 stars. It was an entertaining fluff read, but the plot felt sort of bland and very predictable. I like both Lylin and Rhys, and enjoyed the character development for Lorraina as well, but didn't connect with them the way I did with Ella and Gavin in the first book. I'm kind of hoping that the author has a book planned for Lorraina, because that was the one character who was left without closure and seeing her change was interesting.
review 2: Fantastic story, characters, plot, writing, everything! I especially liked the romance - not just the attraction, but the respect, emotional attachment, and pulling out the best in each other. I liked the story with Lylin and Rhys, who meet each other when they can be casual without formalities, and fac... moree down obstacles that pull and shape them, but they're better because of how they meet the challenges and because of the good they bring out in each other. The best kind of love story. I will look forward to more from Annette Larsen. less
