review 1: Well it's definitely a sign o' the times! Not only do you have to compete with the beautiful blond or the brunette bombshell...now you have to compete with a roughneck with a bald head and tattoos!! I like the characters in this story, even the Nosferatu. The only thing missing from this tale to make it a paranormal superstar, no witches! A solid read without them no less. Rurik, Connie and Tane's relationship takes on a new level. Several times throughout I could slap Connie, strangle Rurik and stake Tane leaving behind Belatia, Archios, Gwen, Kam, Coby and Red to carry on the story (which would have been quite interesting actually). Looking forward to Release as I am sure there will be more dips in the road. Not bad for a vamp tale. I better read another shifter st... moreory soon before my wolves get jealous!
review 2: Thanks netgalley for a free read in exchange for a review. I absolutely loved it. I would definitely read from this author again. I missed the first in the series but it wasn't needed to read this book which I loved. Each book seems to be stand alone and the characters reminded me of Laurell K Hamilton....Anita series. Well written and steamy characters brought me to a five star rating. I loved it and I would beta read for this author anytime! less
