review 1: Better than I expected. In my opinion, this could have been a really great story, but it needed more pages to complete that. Great characters and storyline, but some of the scenes were cut too short for me and I think more time could have been spent on exploring Leila's past and how she is trying to get over it, with the help of her "loving" husband. I would read this author again because this was an enjoyable book.
review 2: I really liked it. Leila was a very strong heroine (wish authors would write more strong women like this), over coming and facing all kinds of horrible situations in her life, the least of which was an evil stepfather. Joss was an emotional wasteland until he married Leila and allowed himself to get to know her and in.
