review 1: Wanting Reed... Well let me see Reed made some big mistakes in hiding his past mistakes from Elle which leads to this amazing story. Elle is an awesome character that shows the range of emotion one goes throw when she is in denial of her true heart. Fighting to forget the one that has claimed it.Reed the Alpha that well messes up time and time again only to find himself loosing the one that gave him her heart. The one who he gave his heart to. But his character although you might want to kick his but for time and time again fails to heed warning both in his head and heart. Never strays from his quest to get Elle back and give her the HEA she is looking for.I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Reed and Elle. Reading how they fought to be together against the odds stacked agai... morenst them. Happy endings... You gotta love em!
review 2: We pick up with Reed & Elle pretty much where we left off after the first book, Breaking Elle. The story continues as they try to either find their way back to each other or face the fact that they need to move on. The people “protecting” Elle might be doing more harm than good.Elle is devastated that she’s at the airport and there’s no Reed. I mean it can’t be helped and we, as the reader, know that it’s because he’s back home in Texas in a hospital. This really breaks her and it seems to affect everything she ever thought was true, not only about her relationship with Reed but with trusting people in general. Reed is such a great guy deep down, he just has ways of dealing with things that seem to get him deeper into holes. He makes rash decisions in some ways and procrastinates in others and neither seem right for the situation. He doesn’t tell Elle about his past in time so he hurts her even more than if he would have just told her. He waits way too long to deal with the people looking for him in Texas so they take it out on him in a very not good way, hense, his hospital stay.Reed makes it back to Boston and from the beginning, in the airport bathroom, Tyler is there to tell him to stay away from Elle. He tells Tyler how broken Elle was when he left and that she’s moved on. But Tyler might have other, more selfish reasons, for making sure Reed doesn’t come around Elle. Does Tyler want to move out of the “friend” status that he’s been in for so long? The story moves in separate directions, Elle without Reed, Reed without Elle. They each have their own lives and we see how broken and just HARD it is for each of them to not be together. Reed, with a kick in the ass from his sister, finally gives up the fight to stay away from her and a plan is formed. Will it work? Can he get her back? Will Elle be able to forgive him? Better yet can she trust him even when he still won’t tell her about his past? Her mindset becomes, he’s my future I don’t care about the past, but will that be ok even though he hasn’t completely dealt with the past? I have very much enjoyed these 2 books! The characters and story is so well written. The story flows and is relatable and you get a lot of description on the Boston area and the places they go, which helps paint the story in your head in a way that you feel you are there with them. All the characters, even the ones that you hardly know, have depth and realism. This is an excellent series - Highly Recommend!!! less
