review 1: Aeon Still is just an average teenage girl trying to get through high school while under the watchful eye of a camera crew. Anya Breton did a good job at unraveling the story of a girl with a lot of secrets in her novel Time’s Daughter. Aeon is selected to be featured in a documentary about the average small town teens. It wasn’t just Aeon who got chosen though; five others students from her school were also chosen. One of those five was the new kid in school, Alex Chattan, the boy that has taken a liking to Aeon. The one problem, though, is that both of them have big secrets to hide. Aeon was unexpectedly chosen for the documentary. She is an art geek that is too obsessed with her work to care about what happens to the rest of the school. To her disdain, Aeon gets ch... moreosen, even though she didn’t want her face to be all over the television screen. She is very likeable because most teenage girls can probably relate to her, other than having a cameraman following her around for six months. Alex is the new boy in town and already has something big happening to him. Even though he refused to be in the documentary, the director pressured him into doing it. He is happy that he is not the only one who has to endure six months of an invasion of privacy, but he is probably the one with the biggest secret to hide. When you first meet Alex, he is kind of quirky, asking Aeon a lot of questions and running through fact after fact. As the story progresses you learn the wild side, and true self, of Alex. This book will have you guessing on what will happen next: What will happen with Alex? Did the cameraman see that? You just can’t stop reading it until all of your questions are answered. This story features many twists and turns that will keep you guessing throughout the story. My favorite aspect about this book was the relationship between Aeon and Alex. Alex liked Aeon the first time he saw her, but Aeon didn’t really want anything to do with Alex. The only reason Aeon started to trust and like Alex was because he shared his family’s secret with her, and in return, she shares her secret with him. The only thing that I didn’t like was that it reminded me too much of Twilight. The new boy in town that has a rich family with a secret and the normal girl is just trying to get through high school. The similarities were just a little too comparable. If I had to classify this book, I would say it was a paranormal romance for young adults. Normally I would say that this book is for anyone that likes something like Twilight, but there might be a few things that younger kids don’t understand and adults wouldn’t really care about. In conclusion, I would recommend this book to anyone that likes the paranormal romance genre and has the patience to finish the book in one sitting because if you are anything like me, you won’t be able to put it down.
review 2: Aeon is for all intents and purposes a normal teenage girl which is why a film crew is documenting her life for 6months. It's definitey not something she wanted to do but they needed the money for her mothers medical bills so I guess six months isn't a long time right?Gratefully she's not alone as 5 others were chosen, one being The new kid Alex. A friendship is kindled during Photography class and the pair grow closer, both nice normal teenagers. LOL.What no one knows is that Aeon can stop time!! Ofcourse she's freaked out that she has this ability but what she doesn't know is that she's not the only one and there are more beings out there with special abilities just like her.Really ejoyed this story, was completely captivated and had to read it until it was finished. The only problem was that I wished it were part of a series! Really wanted more even though the ending did wrap things up as to what the future would hold. More explanation as to the origin of her father and what she is would have been nice but didn't deter from the story. The writing and language had an easy flow, appealing to the younger readers it's inteded for. The dialogue between Aeon and Alex was captivating and as their love blossomed I was swept along with them smiling to myself with his cheesy one liners. It did seem very similar to the Twilight concept I have to say as it was just her and her mom, he had a big family that were wealthy, just moved to town and had a secret to hide etc etc. It irked me abit but the story itself was so good that it eclipsed that niggly annoying point.Definitely worth the read! less

The book was good but the ending came to soon. There was such a build up to such a small climax
