review 1: This is my first book by this author, and it took me a few chapters to get use to her style. Once I settled into the story, it became more enjoyable. The characters are typical, hard-working young professionals-no millionaires, no royalty, which I found a refreshing change. There are just enough steamy scenes, just enough to keep one’s erotic side entertained, but not too many that actually ruins the book. For most of us that dated or are dating in our 20’s, Natalie is very relatable. All she wants is to date a man she is attractive to and trust. Sounds easy, but not when you have had your heart broken once or twice before, like Natalie had, it is hard to trust again. She has 3 close friends, that are each just enough different to keep it interesting and real. Nata... morelie meets a business associate, Colin, and they begin dating. It starts out as a very realistic dating situation. Natalie even has the 4 day rule, which Colin respects. I liked this Colin. As the plot continues, Colin’s past begins to spill into their relationship, and it was not a very pleasant past. Just when the plot starts to get more curious, the book ends. It definitely is not a standalone book, but you can purchase the 3 book series as a unit, "Almost Bad Boys Omnibus Edition-Books 1-3" and read it all at once, which is what I am doing. Now I am ready for the next section, which is Book 2, “Almost Broken Up”. Over-all Rating 3.5 for Book 1
review 2: I enjoyed this book. I found some things that I didn't like such as you have this girl and her friends and then Collin is introduced and the friends are kind of still there but not as much as before. I would have liked to see more interaction with the friends and Collin. I enjoyed Collin and Nats relationship. It is a good representation of a past causing issues in the future and trying to get past them when you never really had the chance. It was a quick read but I also couldn't put it down. I look forward to what's to come in this series. I also live in Seattle so I found it fun to read in a area I know so well. less
